Developing a communications plan (& sales toolkit)

Before you embark on any project you should start with a review. How else can you determine where you are going or what you need?

The communications plan is the develop part of the Ignite programme and is about:-

  1. Communicating who you are
  2. Building your sales toolkit
  3. Creating robust processes underpinned by the right technology

and looks at just what you are doing from finding leads to getting proposals out of the door and everything and everyone in between.

The process is divided up into chunks:-

Communications review ::  looks at how you communicate with your customers, prospects, employees and suppliers.

Sales generation process review  ::  looks at just what you are doing from finding leads to getting proposals out of the door and everything and everyone inbetween. It leaves no stone unturned.

Sales tool kit review ::  looks specifically at how your sales team use your collateral (flyers, brochures, website, presentations, proposals, whitepapers, email etc).

Collateral & brand review asks:-

  • Do you have documents that you are less than proud of?
  • What is your house style? Do all of your documents reflect that style?
  • Were your brochures and flyers put together in a rush?
  • Do your sales proposals get read?
  • Do your presentations bore the pants off people?
  • Who will be reading your communications, did you write them with these people in mind?
  • Does your website say what you do? Is it easy to navigate? Is the news up to date?
  • Are your documents full of jargon?
  • Do all of your communications link together?
  • How effective do your customers think your comunications are?
  • What's missing?
PR plan review :: looks at how you want to communicate what you do with your customers and prospects. We devise an 6 montly plan which is communicated to your PR company, 50five then manages the process to ensure that you get maximum coverage in your chosen publications.

Following the review.....

Sales toolkits and communications plans are an essential part of your business, following the review, we work with you to develop these and teach you how to use them more effectively.
