The Feed-in-Tariff scheme closed to new applicants on 31 March 2019 – households already registered onto the tariff with an existing system will be unaffected by the changes to the scheme.

Winners of the 2019 Solar PV Installer or Contractor of the Year were North East organization, Engenera Renewables Ltd
50five sponsored the category award for the Solar PV Installer or Contractor of the Year, at the 2019 North East Regional Energy Efficiency Awards, on Friday 8th March, at the Hilton Gateshead in Newcastle.
The category awards one organisation for their outstanding contribution to the installation, repair and maintenance of Solar Photovoltaic systems across the North East. Winners of the 2019 Solar PV Installer or Contractor of the Year were North East organization, Engenera Renewables Ltd. The newly acclaimed winners of the category are rolling out their Fully Funded Renewable Energy Programme, delivering energy efficient measures both commercial and domestic across the UK.

A national award ceremony will be held later in 2019 to decide the national winner of the Solar PV Installer or Contractor of the Year, from the 11 regional winners, including North East winners Engenera.

The Energy Efficiency Awards were designed to encourage manufacturers, contractors and other businesses within the energy sector, to deliver products and services which support the Government’s ‘green’ initiatives.
