Evohome single zone: control the temperature in your whole house using your central thermostat.

Evohome multizone: this system allows you to manage the temperature in each room separately.

Both systems are compatible with On/Off and Opentherm heating systems, but some incompatibilities can occur. we recommend you get in touch with us first, to assess the compatibility of your system.

Heat each room separately

Unlike a central thermostat, Evohome warms your home locally: you divide your house into different areas that you want to arrange separately. This is called zone heating.

All radiators get smart regulators that measure the temperature. You can control them wirelessly and separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between multizone and single zone?

The Honeywell Evohome thermostat works in two different ways. The main thermostat acts, on its own, as a standard wireless thermostat. This is what we call single zone, as switches the boiler on or off for the entire house. It can also be paired with  Radiator zone kits (Thermostatic Radiator Valves), which can be fixed to radiators and allow the main thermostat to switch them on or off individually and turn your Evohome system into a multizone system (up to 6 different zones).

Should I chose an on/off or OpenTherm thermostat?

It actually depends on your boiler, as not every boiler is compatible with OpenTherm (modulation system). Outside the compatibility issue, OpenTherm and on/off work differently:

An On/Off thermostat is basically a switch which will always trigger maximum power from your boiler until your temperature is reached.

An OpenTherm or modulating thermostat will analyse the difference between the current temperature and the wished temperature and will adjust the power of your boiler accordingly.

I do not have a boiler but I am with district/city/block heating. Can I still use the Evohome thermostats?

Verify that you already have a thermostat at the moment. If this is the case, you can replace it with a Evohome On/Off thermostat. Otherwise, we recommend you get in touch with us first, to assess the compatibility of your system.
